Adult/Family Opportunity:
VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Are you retired, a stay-at-home-mom, or just someone who loves to garden but do not have the space to do so? Do you have kids that you’d like to introduce to gardening & volunteering? If so, our flower farm may be the perfect fit for you!
We have a wonderful group of Volunteers who donate anywhere from 2-6 hours of their time, whenever they can fit it in their schedule to do so. In the hot summer weather, we usually work early mornings (7-11 am) & late afternoons (5-8 pm) in the field & welcome the company.
Volunteer Tasks include:
* Weeding
* Watering
* Mulching
* Planting seeds + plugs
* Harvesting flowers
For each shift you work, you are welcome to cut your own flowers to take home! We will also be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation You Pick in the early fall for everyone who has come out to help out. We appreciate you so much! Email Us to set up a time to come out!
Teen Opportunity:
JUNIOR FARMERS
Ages 14-16
We started our farming journey (even though we didn’t know it yet!) at age 12 when we created a vegetable garden in our parent’s backyard. Not every kid is an athlete or an artist. Some kids are animal whisperers, healers, caretakers…or GROWERS!
We are thrilled to offer this FUN opportunity for your Tween or Teen to come on down to the farm to learn all about growing while helping out. We will assign your child a “plot” in the flower field to truly take ownership over throughout the summer.
Junior Farmer Tasks include:
* Weeding
* Watering
* Mulching
* Planting seeds + plugs
* Harvesting flowers
This is a stipend position, so there will be a payment made at the end of the summer once the assigned plot work has been completed. If your child doesn’t complete the work at their assigned plot, it will be considered volunteer work. The desired number of hours per week is appx. 4-6 total.
We will set your Tween/Teen up to succeed, providing mentorship + guidance! The positions end in late August with a pizza + ice cream party!
Kids Opportunity:
FLOWER FARM CAMP
Ages 9-13
Have a budding flower farmer or grower at home? This is the perfect opportunity for your kiddo to get some time outside this summer.
